AirTag has two sides one with white color and the other with stainless steel. To do a factory reset press the stainless steel side of AirTag. After pressing down start rotating the stainless steel cover counterclockwise. You have to rotate it until it reaches the end and stops rotating. Now you will be able to separate the white side and stainless steel side. It is the same process that is being used to remove the battery of AirTag. Take out the battery and put it back where it was. Now press down the battery until you hear a sound from AirTag. You might be thinking it’s done nope, remember I had said the process is a little bit tedious. You have to repeat the very same process four more times. It means you have to remove the battery put it back and press on the battery to hear the sound a total of five times. When you have done the process and hear the sound five times. Now put the stainless steel cover on AirTag. There will be three tabs on the cover make sure to align them with three slots given on the tracker. After making the alignment, press it and you will hear a sound. Now rotate the stainless still side so AirTag gets locked as it was before. Cheers you have successfully completed one of the boring hard reset processes you might have ever seen on a device.
