Initially, there was no File Manager app on iPhones. With iOS 11, Apple finally added a File Manager app named Files. The Files app is not as advanced as File Managers available on Android, but it does the job pretty well. It features a folder where iPhone saves all the downloaded files. Step 4: Under On My iPhone, you will get folders for individual apps along with a Downloads folder. Most apps save the downloaded files on iPhone in the same Downloads folder. Open the Downloads Folder. Step 5: You will see all the downloaded files in the Downloads folder on your iPhone. Go through the folder and see if the file you are looking for is present. Once you find the file you were looking for, you can tap on it to Preview. If you want to Rename, Copy, Move or Share the file, press and hold on to the file to open a pop-up menu. You will see all the options on the screen; select one per your requirement. Step 6: If you didn’t find the file, tap on the Back arrow icon in the upper left corner and look it in the other folders. The above steps work well to find the files saved under the On My iPhone folder, but many apps have their built-in downloads section where they keep the downloaded files. If you download a song in Apple Music, it will not appear in the Files App. You can only find it from the Apple Music Downloads folder. Similarly, other streaming platforms like Netflix and YouTube don’t allow users to download in the local folder.
