How to download YouTube Shorts Videos
1. Download your own YouTube Shorts
The first method is for those who own a YouTube channel and want to download their own uploaded YouTube Shorts videos. This can easily be done by going to your YouTube creator studio on PC. Here’s is how to do that:
Open Browser, go to YouTube and log in to your YouTube account.Click on your YouTube logo on the top right corner and go to YouTube Studio option.Now from the list on the left hand side, click on Content. This will bring you to all the videos and YouTube Shorts that you have uploaded.Navigate to the video that you want to downlaod. Hober the cusor on the video, click on tye three dots and select the Download option.Your selected video will start downloading.
2. Download Someone else’s YouTube Shorts
YouTube allows the users to download other’s YouTube videos and YouTube Shorts for offline viewing. But if you think that you’ll be able to save the videos offline in your smartphone’s memory then it’s not possible. Even though the videos will be available for offline viewing, they will only be able to open within the YouTube app only. If you are OK with that then here’s how to do that:
Open the YouTube app, locate the YouTube Shorts that you want to download and tap on the Channel name from the bottom left.You’ll now be able to see all the shorts uploaded on that channel. Again tap on the Channel name and then go to the Videos tab.
Locate the desired YouTube Shorts video, click omn three dots and select the Download Video option.
There is also an alternate way of doing the same thing. This is how it goes:
Tap on the music icon on the bottom right corner of the YouTube Shorts video.
Then tap on the arrow, located next to the title of the video. This will open the Shorts video like a normal YouTube video.Simply click on the Download button under the YouTube Shorts video.
The YouTube Shorts downloaded via the first and second methods can only be accessed and played within the YouTube app. In order to play the downloaded videos go to the Library option from the bottom right corner in the YouTube app and tap on Downloads. 3. Download YouTube Shorts using Online downloaders
If you’re willing to download the YouTube Shorts to save it on your smartphone as an mp4 video file then you can use any of the available online tools to download them. The same method can also be used to download normal YouTube videos. There are many online tools that allow you to download YouTube videos just by pasting the link of that video. It serves the flexibility to download the video in different resolutions as well. Here’s how to do that:
Open YouTube app go to the desired YouTube Shorts video that you want to download and copy its link by tapping on the share button right above the music icon.Open any Online YouTube video or YouTube Short downloading website. For illustration I am using https://shortsnoob.com/ here. There are many other such websites like:https://shortsnoob.com/https://www.y2mate.comhttps://ddownr.com/https://shortsvideodownloader.com/Now pasted the copied YouTube Shorts’ link in the space available and tap on search.Then the website will greet you with a list of different downloadable resolutions followed by a Download button on each video format.Tap on the Download button of your desired format or resiolution and the video will start downloading.
4. Download YouTube Shorts using an App
If you are a frequent YouTube Shorts downloader and are finding using an online website a little hectic then there are also some open-source apps that you can use on your phone to do the same. It will deliver a lot of conveniences to you for repetitive download of the YouTube Shorts videos. For this tutorial, I am using the NewPipe app for Android and you can also use the same. There are also other apps like TubeMate, VidMate, etc. The process of downloading the YouTube Shorts from these apps will be similar. Download and install the NewPipe APK by granting permission to install apps from unknown sources.Now in the app tap on the search button in the top right corner and paste the link to the YouTube Shorts videos that you want to download and press enter.
The app will load the video via the pasted link. Once loaded tap on the Download button, select various parameters based on your convenience and finally select OK to download the YouTube Shorts video.
