Modern Love is a collection of beautiful love stories that simplify, break down and explain ‘love’ spectacularly. The stories are directly picked up from the weekly column by the same name published in The New York Times. The rawness of each character reminds us that these are the stories of real people who went through extraordinary lengths and made considerable sacrifices in their lives to chase what they believed was their one true love. It shows how people can go to extreme lengths to protect their meaning of love even in the era of finding a partner by swiping right. It is a brilliant romance drama that will leave you with a big grin and moist eyes with every episode.

Guddu and Bablu, the two brothers leading the series, rose to power with their combination of brain and muscle. Soon, a power struggle and tension between various parties trying to take over the illegal activities led to numerous gang wars. Besides, the police are trying to clean all the mess, adding another layer to the story. Overall, Mirzapur is a binge-worthy watch. Both audiences and critics loved the first season. However, the second season has mixed reviews. The series is renewed for a third season, introducing new characters and storylines in the show.

I had a few preconceived notions about a series coming from Zoya Akthar. She is known to create stories around India’s prosperous, wealthy, upper-class society. This show talks about the same. Two wedding planners enter the market to organize grand weddings with their unique touch. However, we are soon introduced to all the dirty scandals, narrow minds, and selfish thoughts behind these marriages. All episodes are a series of chaos that introduces new elements every few minutes, depicting Indian weddings quite brilliantly. Made in Heaven will grab you close to the screen with a great cast and compelling story.

The blend of comedy and thriller in the animation category works pretty well for the show. The show is directly taken from Matthew Mercer’s Dungeon and Dragons actual play web series Critical Role. The series might cover other Vox Machina story arcs as well. You will love this show if you ever played Dungeon and Dragons or watched Critical Role.

Bandish Bandits is a single-season musical series coming from India. Before jumping to any conclusions, please note that Western and Indian musicals are entirely different genres. This show explores the beauty of Indian Classical music with great compositions from the trio of Shankar Ehsaan Loy. The story follows Radhe, a classical singer, and Tamanna, a pop sensation. They cross each other’s paths and decide to explore different music to begin a journey of self-discovery.
Meanwhile, an ancient classical music competition is at the center of the story, determining the best classical singer in the territory. Bandish Bandits has a prominent cast with soul-touching music and an impressive story. I felt the lead actors still need polishing on their acting skills. Apart from that, it is an excellent watch if you love music.
